Epic Adventure -- Day 92 -- 29/11/2012 -- Gaborone

We woke up leisurely this morning and enjoyed cups of tea while using the Internet and watching a bit if tv. Around 11am I researched if the latest twilight movie was out in Gaborone and found out that it was showing at River Walk shopping centre. I have seen all of the movies in cinema and wanted to catch the last instalment before it went out of theatres. Obviously I had to drag poor unwilling Dan along to see it too :D We programmed the sat nav to take us there and left just before 12. When we arrived at the shopping centre we found out that the cinema only opened at 1:00pm so we went downstairs to Primi Piatti for lunch, a place I had been to before many times with my parents and thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Dan and I both ordered pizzas, mine with bacon and chicken on it and Dan's was a margarita with sundries tomatoes, basil and feta cheese. They were both really delicious, mine was a little bit hit but not by too much thankfully :D I ordered the most delicious cocktail, a tanqueray mojito that had gin, fresh lemon, sugar syrup and mint leaves, topped up with appetiser. After that great lunch we went back upstairs to find out what time the movie started and to buy tickets. It started at 2:30pm so we still had some time to kill, so we wondered around the shopping centre. In exclusive books Dan found an incredibly detailed home DIY book, explaining every home improvement process, from how to change a toilet or bath, re-floor a room, to how to change a window! Although the book looked amazing, especially as we want to buy a house and needless to say what we can afford will probably need some work, it weighs about 5kgs!!

Dan convinced me that we would make a plan with our luggage to get the book home (probably chuck half my belongings :P) and so we bought it! After taking it back to the car we wandered arou d the centre for a bit longer, and I bought some Percy pigs for the movie from Woolworths. We each bought a drink at the cinema and went to sit down to watch twilight. I was really glad we went to see it on the big screen, even Dan loved it, the twist they had near the end was epic and took the movie to the next level of brilliance :) The guy behind us had obviously also been dragged to watch twilight with his girlfriend, as at the end he asked her "ok so when does the next one come out" :D

We drove straight home after the move, and arrived back at 5:20pm. Unfortunately no one had told us that the maid knocked off at 5pm and the guard only stated work at 6pm, so there wasn't anyone to let us in!! We beeped for a while and waited for a while before, thankfully, Karin's mother who lives next door came out to open the gate and unlock the house for us. Karen had told us that she would come get us at the house just after 6pm to take us to Mokolodi, a restaurant next to a game park.
The maid came back to the house to let us know that Karin would meet us there and we should drive ourselves over.

When we got there we found Karin and settled ourselves at a nice table outside with a view of the bush. I ordered a long island ice tea and Dan started on the beers, and I offered to be the driver home as it would take me ages to finish my drink and I wasn't interested in having any more drinks. We all shared two starters, a pint of prawns and a plate of calamari. My main course was a delicious and perfectly cooked medium rare rump steak with vegetables, and Dan had an equally yummy burger with chips. Kingsley arrived after our meal to enjoy a drink with us before we all drove home and crawled into bed for another lovely nights sleep.
