Epic Adventure -- Day 7 -- 05/09/2012 -- Dubai

Our last day in Dubai was spent somewhat unproductively, we spent most of the day playing on the new iPad :) our lunch was bought from the same place that Dan went to a few days ago, the little cafe near Bob and Gillian's house, where they took us into the kitchen to ask us what we wanted. We chose a chicken and a lamb curry, rice (amazing rice, why can I never do it like that?) and naan bread. When we started eating it at home it turned out that the chicken was super hot by my taste, Dan loved it, so I ate most of the lamb which was delicious! we spent most of the afternoon packing and weighing our bags so as not to be caught out having one bag over weight again. We also got a wonderful present of two of these really cool one egg frying pans, they are amazing!! The very best way to get the perfect fried egg, I love them :D

The best part of the day was being taken out to a delicious delicious dinner at the Atlantis hotel on the palm!!! We took a taxi there, and it was great to be on the palm at night as the views on the palm and of Dubai by night are so different than during the day, the lights of all the different buildings are just stunning.

We went to an Italian restaurant called Ronda Locatelli, which Gillian had been to for her birthday, and loved. It was just amazing! We ordered some prosecco to drink, and Dan and I shared an Italian platter starter, with meats, some olives and sundries tomatoes, aubergines and bruschetta with olive paste and tomato yummyness :D for my main course I ordered a pizza with Parma ham, mozzarella and tomato, and it was the best pizza I have ever eaten! Dan ordered a crab pasta dish which was very very good as well.

After dinner we returned to Bob and Gillian's house where we packed all of our things in preparation for the long long long trip to Cape Town the following day.
